It's Air Force Week in New York City with various displays, flyovers, band concerts and more throughout the city's five boroughs.

Air Force Week brings Airmen to New York neighborhoods honoring hometown heroes and tell their stories, as well as gives them an opportunity to thank New Yorkers for their support of Airmen around the world.

On Wednesday, the National Guard will land a chopper on the Intrepid.

  • At 11 a.m., the New York Air National Guard 106th Rescue Wing will be flying a HH-60 Pavehawk onto the Intrepid. It will remain on display until it takes off at 4 p.m. and departs the area.

All safety precautions will be taken in accordance with military and FAA regulations.
