Prep school Dean arrested for sexual assault

MIDDLETOWN, N.J.

The former dean of students at Mater Dei High School was arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.

Eyewitness News went to 7 Acker Drive in Middletown, 28-year-old /*William Miltner*/'s listed address.

The woman who came to the door did not want to talk to Eyewitness News, though a neighbor says Miltner's arrest is the talk of the neighborhood.

At just 28-years-old, William Miltner was a Dean, teacher, and the soccer coach at /*Mater Dei Catholic High School*/.

He was arrested Tuesday and charged with 2nd Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, and 4th Degree Aggravated Sexual Criminal Conduct, the Monmouth County prosecutor says with a 16-year-old girl at Mater Dei.

"This is just shocking, I can't believe it," said Kerri Inzerillo, a /*Middletown*/ resident.

Kerri Inzerillo recently earned a degree in education, and is looking to become a teacher.

She had friends who graduated from Mater Dei.

Middletown Police began investigating after the school contacted them.

The /*Diocese of Trenton*/ told Eyewitness News, in a statement that: "William Miltner was the subject of an anonymous e-mail that was sent to the leadership of Mater Dei Prep, New Monmouth. Due to the nature of the e-mail, the information was forwarded."

Miltner had his first court appearance Wednesday morning, and he's being held on $125,000 bail.

He was told if he makes bail, he is to have no contact with his accuser.

The police investigation is ongoing.
