The incident happened on May 7 inside a clothing boutique on Bell Boulevard in Bayside.
Investigators say the child took a wallet from the victim's bag, which was behind the cash register, and handed it to one of the adult women.
Authorities say that woman put the wallet in her pants and they all left the store.
