MT. EDEN, N.Y. (WABC) -- No one was injured when the front awning of an auto body shop suddenly collapsed in the Mount Eden section of the Bronx Monday.

Just after 12:45 p.m., the awning fell at 1679 Jerome Ave., along with the brick section of the parapet wall creating a pile of rubble on the sidewalk.

The New York Department of Buildings has issued a full vacate order for 1679 and 1681 Jerome Ave. 1683 Jerome Ave. has since been reoccupied. Both 1681 and 1683 are businesses, while 1679 is a vacant one-story commercial building.

There were no injuries reported and it is unclear what caused the collapse. A failure to maintain violation was issued to owners of 1681 Jerome.
