Group of bears chases Yellowstone tourists

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK (WABC) -- A cautionary tale for summer tourists was caught on camera.

A family of bears chased a group of tourists in Yellowstone National Park. The black bear and her three cubs unexpectedly appeared on a bridge, lined with sightseers earlier this week sending them running.

The mother bear - seemingly equally terrified - charges one family as they scramble for their car.

One of the young bears seems to explore an escape route, picking up the pace once the mother joins her cub. The bears and humans parted ways without incident, but officials say this run-in is a perfect example of the dangers in the national park.

The park draws 3.5 million visitors a year.
