2 dead after fire burns through Belmar home

BELMAR, New Jersey (WABC) -- Two men were killed in a fire that burned through a Belmar home.

The fire broke out inside the 14th Avenue home just after 9:45 p.m. Monday.

Both men were found trapped inside the house and died. The cause and manner of their deaths, and their respective identities, will be determined at autopsies scheduled for Tuesday.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation but does not appear to be suspicious at this time.

The investigation is being conducted by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office, Belmar Police Department and Belmar Fire Department.
