Controversy over 'Beach Body' campaign
Paula Faris reporting

LONDON (WABC) -- A new weight loss ad featuring a bikini-clad model with the words "Are you beach body ready?" is sparking global outrage Wednesday, and now, many women are responding with their own take on being body proud.

The larger-than-life London advertisement for a weight loss shake shows off a woman in a skimpy yellow swimsuit has been called sexist and body-shaming, with critics taking to social media with the viral hashtag #EachBodysReady.

It is reminiscent of the firestorm after Victoria's Secret launched the "Perfect Body" campaign starring their famous angels.

More than 56,000 people have signed a petition demanding Protein World to remove the ad, and a protest spear-headed by these two bloggers is in the works.

The organizers posted a photo of themselves in bikinis standing next to the ad, with the caption

"We're beach body ready. Exactly as we are."
