Up Close: Danny Meyer on his no-tipping police
Bill Ritter talks to restaurateur Danny Meyer about what it means to be a no-tipping restaurant.

Danny Meyer, owner of Union Square Hospitality Group, which has several restaurants in Manhattan, plans to institute a no-tipping policy starting in November.

Meyer said currently only allow certain positions at restaurants receive gratuities, which played a role in the decision.

Restaurants will have an across-the-board increase in prices.

Meyer said the overall price diners pay for a meal won't change much. There will no longer be a tip line on checks.
