NEW YORK -- Walkers came together Sunday in the battle against breast cancer, taking part in the American Cancer Society's 'Making Strides Against Breast Cancer' walks.

Over 100,000 New Yorkers took part in the ACS's 14th annual event, including breast cancer survivors and caregivers walking to raise money for breast cancer research.

The day includes walks in Central Park and Jones Beach, expected to be the largest in the country with about 65,000 participants.

At least 300 walks are being held across the country.

Amy Freeze spoke with breast cancer survivor Jacklyn Covell, as she joined the walkers in Central Park.

The walk helps raise money for research and honors those who have battled the disease.

WABC-TV is a proud sponsor of the Central Park walk.
