FORDHAM HEIGHTS, Bronx (WABC) -- Police have released surveillance video of suspects who allegedly pretended to be police officers during a robbery in the Bronx Monday afternoon.
The victim, with two passengers, had stopped his minivan near Morris Avenue and East182 Street in Fordham Heights around 4 p.m. When a car pulled up behind him.
Authorities say four suspects exited the vehicle, identified themselves as police officers and ordered the driver and his passengers out of the minivan.
One of the suspects them jumped in the minivan and fled the scene.
The others then drove away in their car.
The suspects are described as four Hispanic males in the early 20s to mid 30s, between 5-foot-6 and 6-feet tall with medium builds. They wore shields around their necks, baseball caps and what appeared to be protective vests.
