Gunfire sparks wild chain of events in the Bronx
Lucy Yang has details from the Wakefield section.

WAKEFIELD (WABC) -- It was a wild chain of events which ended in a terrible accident in the Bronx. A car and a motorcycle are still in the street as detectives try to piece together all the details.



The incident all began in the Wakefield section of the Bronx just before 6:30 Sunday evening with a shooting at the intersection of Pitman and Wickham Avenues. Eyewitness News is told a 24-year-old driver was hit in the lower back. He drove away and about a block and a half later police report he struck a 42-year-old motorcyclist on the corner of Baychester and Nereid.



The man on the motorcycle is in critical condition at Jacobi Hospital. The man who was shot is currently at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in stable condition.



The gunman is still at large.
