NEW YORK (WABC) -- 7 people were injured a chain-reaction accident Monday morning on the Brooklyn Bridge, and police say one of the drivers involved has been taken into custody.

Police say it happened at about 4:50 a.m., when a disabled Honda in the right-hand lane of the bridge was struck by a Lexus in the eastbound lanes, which in turn was struck by a sedan.

That caused the Lexus to overturn and the rear-seat passenger, a 30-year old man, to be ejected. The passenger was removed to Methodist Hospital with critical injuries.

Four people in the Honda and one person in the sedan were taken to a hospital after complaining of back and neck injuries. They're all in stable condition.

As a result of the crash, all Brooklyn-bound lanes were shut down on the Brooklyn Bridge.
