Cost of Netflix streaming to rise for roughly 17 million customers

LOS GATOS, Calif. -- About 17 million Netflix customers are about to pay more for the streaming service.

Starting next month, people who currently pay $7.99 for the standard service will have to pay an additional $2 per month.

The Los Gatos-based company announced the price change back in 2014 and said customers at the time were grand-fathered into their pricing plan for two years.
