New York City mom creates 'Spiderbands' workout apparatus
Lauren Glassberg reports on the new fitness trend.

MIDWOOD, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Leave it to a mother of four to create a new workout apparatus and 24 different classes that go with it.

Franci Cohen, of Midwood, Brooklyn, has always been into fitness and nutrition. She created resistance bands called "Spiderbands," which she employs along with other equipment such as trampolines and punching bags.

The bands create a g-force, and as a result you're forced to work that much harder. There's cardio and strength. Fun and sweat.

She's been teaching classes at a small studio in Brooklyn. But in about two weeks she is opening a studio in Union Square, Manhattan.

She also has plans to expand her web to the West Coast. Get ready to channel your inner superhero.
