Out-of-control car crashes into parked vehicles, catches fire in Bushwick, Brooklyn
Derick Waller reports on the crash in Brooklyn.

BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Three women are lucky to be alive after a wild crash in Brooklyn early Tuesday.

Authorities say a car traveling eastbound on Menahan Street in Bushwick had just passed St. Nicholas Avenue when the driver sideswiped a parked Honda CRV and struck another unoccupied car before overturning and catching fire.

Neighborhood surveillance video showed the Nissan Altima driving down the street.

A neighbor managed to grab a fire extinguisher and run outside as first responders made their way to the scene.

Fortunately, the three women inside the vehicle escaped before it caught fire.

One was treated for a wrist injury, while the other two were checked out but otherwise uninjured.

The investigation is ongoing, but the NYPD does not suspect criminality at this point.
