Cherry picker collapse in Carteret, New Jersey

CARTERET, N.J. (WABC) -- A cherry picker collapsed in Carteret, New Jersey.

It happened at 1400 Federal Boulevard around 4:30 p.m.

An injured construction worker was suspended 20 feet in the air.

Rescue workers tied him to cell tower and then lowered him to the ground.

He was treated by EMS once he was on the ground.

The cause of the collapse is not yet known.
