BOROUGH PARK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit and run accident that injured a 6-year-old boy in Brooklyn Wednesday.

The accident happened at about 4 p.m., as a man was walking with the boy at Fort Hamilton Parkway and 41st Street in Borough Park.

Cameras from a nearby store recorded footage of the vehicle coming through the intersection and hitting the child.

The video also shows the driver getting out, walking around the back of the minivan, then getting back in and driving away.

The child was taken to Maimonides Hospital with a dislocated hip.

Authorities say the suspect was driving a black Toyota Sienna with TLC license plates.
