Man robbed in Bronx by fake online dater

BRONX (WABC) -- Police are searching for a suspect they say robbed a man while on what he thought was a first date.

The 18-year-old victim went to an apartment building on East 181st Street on March 25. He thought he was meeting a woman he had connected with on a dating website.

After knocking on the door of an apartment, the suspect, who had posted a fake profile on the dating website to lure the victim, appeared brandishing a taser.

The suspect took the victim's iPhone 6 Plus and fled.
