Devon Still tweets that daughter Leah Still beat cancer

Leah Still's battle against cancer captured the country's heart during the 2014 NFL season. Now her dad, former Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still, says his daughter has beat the disease.

Still tweeted an image of a smiling Leah on Jan. 8, stating that his daughter was receiving her last treatment. Leah had gone into remission last year after being diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma in 2014. Leah was just 4 years old when she was diagnosed and was given only a 50-50 chance to live, according to ABC affiliate WCPO.


Still, who this week was signed to a futures contract with the Houston Texans last week, tweeted again on Tuesday, thanking supporters for their well wishes and sharing an inspirational graphic detailing Leah's long journey to victory.




Still has regularly shared updates about Leah's battle with cancer and even accepted the Jimmy V award on her behalf at the 2015 ESPYS.



"Give your child's fight with cancer a purpose. Use it to raise awareness so that you can help all kids fighting this disease," Still wrote on Sqor. "No matter how big or small your platform/following is, you will reach that one family that just needs to know they're not alone in the fight so they don't give up."
