Firefighter climbs onto ice to save trapped dog in Canada

CANADA (WABC) -- A delicate rescue to save a dog trapped on ice in Canada was caught on camera.

The pet ran onto a frozen creek and then the ice broke.

A firefighter hooked to a rope carefully slid out to the dog.

He grabbed the frightened canine and the two made their way safely back to dry land.

The dog was limping, but managed to walk back to the shore.
