Suspect arrested in Long Island barbershop shooting

BAY SHORE, N.Y. -- A 32-year-old man has been arrested in a shooting inside a Long Island barbershop that left the victim in critical condition.

Suffolk County police say James Nicholson was arrested Friday on charges he opened fire inside the Headfellas barbershop in Bay Shore on Thursday.

The 30-year-old victim was shot twice in the stomach. Police say he is in critical condition at a hospital. His name has not been released.

Nicholson, of Bay Shore, was scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
