NASSAU COUNTY (WABC) -- School bus drivers on Long Island voted to go on strike on Saturday, a decision that may leave thousands of children without a ride to school.

Union members rejected the final contract offer by Bauman and Sons Buses. The company transports 15,000 students to 35 schools in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

The drivers will now have a meeting to determine the details of the strike.
