NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (WABC) -- Police in New Jersey are seeking a man who exposed himself and touched a woman in a women's bathroom inside a library at Rutgers University.

Patrols on campus are constant, but despite an active police presence and cameras outside the library, the suspect entered the woman's bathroom, exposed himself to a female student and then grabbed another before escaping.

Students are anxious to find out if the suspect is one of their own, as his actions inside the second-floor ladies bathroom of the Alexander Library have sent shock waves through the College Avenue campus.

Campus police say a woman affiliated with the school alerted a friend after she saw the man enter the bathroom around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say the man exposed himself and touched the second woman on the buttocks before fleeing.

Authorities sent an e-mail detailing the crime to students, who reacted with shock and dismay.

The College Avenue campus is an open public space, and the library is open to everyone until 10 p.m. After that, students must show a Rutgers identification to enter.

The suspect is described as an Asian or Indian male wearing blue jeans, a light blue shirt with white stripes and black wire rimmed glasses.
