Police searching for 4-5 suspects in Elmont home invasion

ELMONT (WABC) -- Police in Elmont are investigating a home invasion that occurred early Sunday morning.

According to detectives, the three female victims, ages 17, 35 and 45 were asleep inside their residence on Leighton Road when they were awakened by 4-5 men armed with handguns and a taser, demanding cash.

The victims were placed in the bathroom as the suspects ransacked the house, and then fled the scene.

The 35-year-old victim was treated at a local hospital for her injuries, but was later released. The other victims refused medical attention.

Detectives released the following descriptions of the suspects:

Suspect 1 is described as a male black, mid 20's, 6', thin build, light skinned wearing a white baseball cap, red long sleeved plaid shirt, a Jamaican accent and was armed with a taser.

Suspect 2 is described as a male black, mid 20's, 5'8", goatee, Mohawk, wearing white or light grey baseball cap and blue/black trim Jordan's sneakers he displayed a silver revolver.

Suspect 3 is described as a male black, mid 20's, 5'5", stocky built, dark skin color, wide brown eyes wearing shiny earrings and a silver watch displayed a black handgun.

Suspect 4 is described as a male black, mid 20's, 5'6", thin built, light skin color, wearing dark clothes with hood displayed a handgun.
