NEW YORK (WABC) -- "Nashville" is back on ABC in its third season, and we saw Rayna choose Luke's proposal over Deacon's.

Charles Esten who plays "Deacon" took some time to talk about the new season, the music on the show, new projects, and what's coming up for the actors on the show.

First off, Esten talked about touring with the "Nashville" cast and even visiting here in New York City. He told 7online that a lot of the experiences from that tour will help them portray a touring band on the show and understand exactly what goes into that.

Esten then talked about doing the interview about "Nashville" right from the legendary Grand Ole Opry and the significance of that connection to the show.

He was also asked, after the big proposal shoot down, will we see any more sparks fly between Deacon and Rayna, or is that it? (Please say that's not it!)

If you are a fan of the music on the show, there's a new Christmas CD coming out this holiday season that the cast members performed on.

"Nashville" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC!
