Imperial Theatre dims lights in honor of Broadway star
Sade Baderinwa has the story.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- There was a special tribute for a rising Broadway star who fell to his death over the weekend.

The Imperial Theatre dimmed its lights Tuesday night after the evening performance of "Les Misrables".

It was in honor of Kyle Jean-Baptiste, the first black actor to play the lead role of Jean Valjean in the legendary musical.

He accidentally fell from a fire escape in Brooklyn and tragically lost his life.
