Sandy reviews 'American Made'
Acotr Tom Cruise is back on the big screen in a new movie about the Iran-Contra affair.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Tom Cruise is back on the big screen this weekend in a new film about the Iran-Contra affair and the drug trade of the 1980s.

Entertainment reporter Sandy Kenyon says "American Made" is a fun moviegoing experience celebrating an anti-hero, a rogue who is so charismatic and charming you can't help but like him and his movie.

The picture gets a bit confusing at times, as it can be hard to tell what Cruise's character is doing and impossible to say exactly why. But what "American Made" lacks in substance is balanced by the movie's fun factor, and Cruise has taken good care of himself to remain cool at the age of 55 and still capable of capturing the imagination of his generation.
