Take a sneak peak into the Oscars official after-party
This year, the Governors will be surrounded by Hollywood history. Hundreds of images of the past will be present around the room.

LOS ANGELES -- It's the biggest party after the Oscars. The Governors Ball brings A-list celebrities, fabulous food and entertainment all in one room.

This year, guests will be surrounded by Hollywood history. Hundreds of images of the past will be present around the room and free for guests to take home.

"They'll be looking at a photo and say, 'Look at this picture of Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett,' and we'll say, 'It's yours,'" said Cheryl Cecchetto, founder and president of Sequoia Productions.

Cecchetto and her team are producing the Governors Ball for 26th year.

"Everyone really gets the sit-down dinners of the world are long gone. Now, it's just a really comfortable, fabulous Hollywood club. There really should be a place like this in Los Angeles," Cecchetto said.

From the delicious food to the stunning surroundings, the party's ambience is precisely crafted by Cecchetto for the 1,500 guests who pass through.

"Absolutely wonderful, comfortable. I want it to be an incredibly romantic environment that they can't even imagine being a part of," Cecchetto said.

To set the mood, a wall of 3,000 images from the Academy's archives, framed photos on tables and light boxes decorate the room.

By Sunday, new pictures taken at this Governors Ball will make their own mark on movie history.
