Co-workers split Powerball prize
Some Long Island nursing home employees are splitting a Powerball prize.

COMMACK, Long Island (WABC) -- The Powerball player in Massachusetts who struck it rich wasn't the only winner.

A group in Suffolk County is also counting their winnings.

37 co-workers at Gurwin Jewish Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Commack won the third place Powerball prize, valued at $50,000.

They split the prize evenly, which should leave each of them with $800 after taxes according to their calculations.

The group joined together to purchase the tickets on Wednesday with plans to share the jackpot if they won.
