2 pedestrians struck by out-of-control SUV in Flushing

FLUSHING (WABC) -- Two pedestrians were rushed to the hospital in serious condition after they were struck by an out-of-control SUV in Queens Tuesday evening.



The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. at 162nd Street and Station Road in Flushing.



Witnesses say the SUV jumped the curb after the driver ran a red light and hit an ambulance, pinning both of the women under his vehicle.



One of them was on a bike and the other was on foot.



The victims were taken to New York Queens Hospital.
