Police: Garfield home invasion suspects sexually assault resident, steal cash, goods, electronics

GARFIELD (WABC) -- Police in New Jersey have arrested two men who are accused of a violent home invasion robbery.

The incident happened in Garfield at about 12:30 Saturday morning.

Prosecutors say 22-year-old Xavier Epps and 21-year-old Tymell White forced their way into a house at gunpoint, and forced three people inside to the ground. They allegedly sexually assaulted a resident before stealing cash, cell phones and other electronics.

Police are still searching for a suspect.
