Bone marrow recipients meet donors in NYC

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Dozens of bone marrow transplant recipients met their donors for the first time.

The Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation held its annual "Partners for Life Gala" Thursday night at the Grand Hyatt in Manhattan.

Organizers hoped to raise $750,000 to help children and adults suffering from life-threatening illnesses find the donors they need.
