Garth Brooks fan goes into labor at concert

GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Garth Brooks is known for his exciting concerts, but one woman got more than she bargained for at a recent show -- she went into labor.

She and her fiance were enjoying one of their last free nights before baby when it happened.

They actually had a planned C-section scheduled for another day and wanted to sneak in some fun beforehand.

Father Jacob Bichler said, "We were standing up, singing, getting into it and there was a couple times where she was having contractions."

By the time Garth finished his final encore around 2am, it seemed their son was ready to make his entrance, local station WXMI reports.

Just before 5:30am, they were welcoming little Jaxson to the world, weighing in at 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and even though they didn't name him after Garth, they say he's definitely a country fan, too.

Bichler said, "He's got to be (a country fan), especially after this. I'm definitely keeping that ticket stub for his baby book, that's for sure. He's gonna have a concert story. It's definitely something to remember."
