Mobile gym brings the workout, equipment to you
Lauren Glassberg has the details.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- If your biggest excuse for not working out is that you don't have time to hit the gym, then this story is for you.

There's a gym that comes to you.

This is different than a personal trainer coming to your house or apartment; this is an actual gym on wheels showing up at your doorstep.

It may look like a typical gym workout, but this isn't your typical gym, it's a mobile gym that comes to you.

Adam Zickerman already had five brick and mortar locations for Inform Fitness, but he didn't have a location in the Hamptons, that's why he launched a mobile unit.

"We have six pieces of retrofitted equipment plus we do floor workout and other things," Zickerman said.

And in the off season, it travels through Long Island and Manhattan.

"It fits into a very busy schedule," Zickerman said.

Preeta Sidhu works full time and goes to school; this allows her to avoid a commute to the gym.

"If they can come to my office I'm not worrying about when am I going to get to the gym," Sidhu said.

But there's more, Adam's style of training is different than many others. Very heavy weight is lifted very slowly and the workout only takes 20 minutes, another time saver.

Another participant, Bob Kaynor, even does his workout wearing his work pants and shoes, because while the workout is challenging he doesn't usually sweat.

A 20-minute session in the mobile unit is $95, and that does involve some specific scheduling and quite often, companies schedule the mobile unit so that employees can get a workout in.
