Patient records operating room staff making disparaging remarks during surgery

TEXAS -- A Texas woman is considering a lawsuit after she recorded the operating room staff making disparaging comments about her during surgery.

Ethel Easter captured the comments with a recording device tucked into her hair extensions.

She decided to do it, after becoming upset when the doctor told her she'd have to wait two months for hernia surgery.

The hospital says it has sent a letter to staff reminding them to be mindful of their comments, and said no further action was warranted.
