Try these new workouts to improve your health in 2016
Lauren Glassberg has the details.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- New Year's Eve is around the corner, and that means it's time to think about your resolutions for 2016 - which, for many people includes improving their health and body. There are several new workouts to help you accomplish your fitness goals, including one where you can work right from your own home.

The class begins with a warm-up, but you quickly head into partner-based moves. You suddenly find yourself in positions you have likely never been. I'm completely amazed that I can do any of this, and it feels so good to accomplish it.

The jumpboard class at Karen Lord Pilates Movement will also make you a little giddy. If you thought Pilates was a slow-moving workout, think again - for 55 minutes you jump while lying down. You are also floating in air, and your abs are doing all the work. The workout gives a child-like joy to work that can normally be very serious. You can get your heart rate up and sweat - it's Pilates on steroids. It really bridges what people think about Pilates and what people want to do when they want to get their sweat happening.

The springs are varied to change up the muscles that you are working. Props are often included to make sure other parts of your body get in on the workout.

If you are the person who just won't go to a class, why not have the class come to you? For only $12.95 a month, you can participate in a Daily Burn 365 workout right in your own home. The workout is live at 9 a.m., but it is on demand 24 hours after that.

What makes Daily Burn 365 so powerful is the community aspect. Even if you are alone, you can join the community via a live chat, and write comments during water breaks or after the class. The class is a beginner level, is different every day, and it could very well propel into a new routine in the New Year.
