NEW YORK (WABC) -- The Rockaway Ferry, operated by NYC Ferry, was suspended Tuesday morning due to "heavy ice conditions leading to Rockaway landing."
Newscopter 7 flew over the area and it was easy to see why!
Jamaica Bay is caked in ice. The ice chunks are said to be at least three feet thick.
A channel had to be cut through the ice under the Cross Bay Bridge.
The bay seems to be frozen leading up to JFK International Airport as well.
A tugboat was dispatched to help break up the ice near the Marine Parkway Bridge.
