Review: Jurassic World
Sandy Kenyon has the review.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Computer-generated imagery has improved dramatically in the two decades since we first visited "Jurassic Park," so how come the new movie lacks the wow factor of the original? You'll have to decide for yourself, but Chris Pratt sure is compelling enough as a dinosaur whisperer.

We see "Jurassic World" through the eyes of two guys who are the nephews of an uptight park executive played by Bryce Dallas Howard.

The genetically-modified hybrid dinosaur is designed to be bigger than a T-Rex and twice as ornery - a highly intelligent creature named Indominus Rex who kills for sport and roams at will.

Evacuating the island is not so easy given how many people are there, and how far afield the boys have roamed. The monsters and mayhem are fun enough, but when "Jurassic World" seeks to make a larger point, the picture feels lame, and reminds us that the only point is to make a lot of money.

"Jurassic World" will easily make $125 million in North America over the weekend. If you scare easily, then you will want to watch "Jurassic World" on a regular screen, but if you can take it, the blockbuster should be even better in 3D on a big IMAX screen.
