NEW YORK (WABC) -- The Knicks postseason win streak was snapped after they lost 115-111 to the Spurs in Game 3 at Madison Square Garden.

Victor Wembanyama had 32 points, eight rebounds and six assists, carrying the San Antonio Spurs to a 115-111 victory Monday night that cut the Knicks' lead to 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.

San Antonio is trying to make a first-of-its-kind NBA Finals comeback.

The Spurs handed the Knicks their first loss in 46 days and potentially salvaged their season in front of a Madison Square Garden crowd that included President Donald Trump.

The Knicks had their 13-game winning streak, the second-longest in NBA postseason history, snapped and missed a chance to move to the brink of their first title since 1973.

Their previous loss occurred on April 23 in a one-point defeat to the Atlanta Hawks. They won the next three against Atlanta, swept Philadelphia and Cleveland and took the first two games against the Spurs.

Game 4 is Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. on ABC 7, your home for the NBA Finals.

He was also booed outside at the Bryant Park watch party.

His arrival created long lines and added security outside the arena. There was a time when Donald Trump was just another celebrity sitting courtside at New York Knicks games. He was famous, but not yet flanked by Secret Service agents or defined by the politics that have left him deeply unpopular in his hometown.

The Holy Garden

Spike Lee is rocking a signed Pope Leo jersey inside Madison Square Garden.

He's not the only one living on a prayer. Rockville Centre Bishop John Barres has been incorporating the Knicks playoff run into his homilies.

"(Pope Leo XIV) - he is a 1977 graduate of Villanova University, and I'm sure he is really rooting for the Villanova-driven Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges," he said.

Tip-off is at 8:30 p.m. on ABC 7.
