Dog snatched from Morris Plains Post Office reunited with family

MORRIS PLAINS (WABC) -- A lost or stolen pooch from New Jersey is back home with her family after a frightening few days.

Lilly the Maltese got loose on Tuesday and wandered into the lobby of the Morris Plains Post Office.

There, an unknown woman picked up the pup and walked out, never taking her to a shelter or contacting her family.

A call to the public was made because Lilly has a seizure disorder that requires medication.

On Wednesday night, Lilly was reunited with her family. She is reported to be in good condition.

The Morris Plains police thanked the public for helping find her, though no details were released about the woman who snatched her.
