Close call when a man falls on subway tracks in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, New York (WABC) -- A man is lucky to be alive after he fell onto the subway tracks.

He was standing too close to the edge of the platform when he fell in the Flushing Avenue station in Brooklyn, authorities said.

The J train was able to stop in time.

The victim only suffered a minor injury to his hand.
