Hines was in her wheelchair when the bullets struck. She said one bullet was on a direct path to her head and another man's when it was blocked by the window.

Tuesday, we spoke with the bus driver who felt like he was driving through a war zone when bullets hit his bus. I also spoke with his union rep who believes the passengers were just a fraction away from tragedy.
Egbert James was driving his usual M3 bus Monday evening, heading up Madison Avenue when he heard gunshots. Panic spread on his bus as he pulled over near 104th street.
"Everybody was worried and scared, and screaming 'Get me to here, they're shooting" said James.
Two bullets hit the bus including one to the front window.
"Turned out to be a gunshot that was a ricochet that hit the window. NYPD informed us that had that been an actual hit to the window someone on the bus would've been killed," said TWU local 100 union representative Donald Yates.
"Had it penetrated the gentleman sitting there who was a paraplegic and myself would've been hit in the head," said Hines.
On Sunday that was another open shooting on E. 104th St. by Lexington. 2 o'clock in the morning bullets were flying. One man hit in the wrist. Police do not believe the back to back shootings are related
