Fire breaks out at condominium complex in Nassau County

MASSAPEQUA (WABC) -- Firefighters battled a blaze at a condominium complex in Nassau County early Sunday.

The fire broke out at about 1:30 a.m. at a two-story complex at 65 Southgate Circle in Massapequa.

Two residents inside were able to escape the fire. Adjoining residents were also temporarily evacuated.

about 45 firefighters were able to quickly knock down the flames and contain the fire to a single unit.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
