New England Thruway toll plaza fire leaves traffic backed up

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (WABC) -- The Friday afternoon rush hour is moving slower than usual at the New England Thruway toll plaza after a tractor-trailer struck the building and caught fire earlier in the day.

The truck struck the northbound toll plaza at Exit 16 just after 2 p.m.

Firefighters had to put out the blaze, backing up northbound traffic.

There were no injuries.
