Violent New Hampshire home invasion caught on camera
Police are searching for suspects in a home invasion, and the stolen items showed up in Manhattan

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police are investigating a home invasion that was caught on camera in New Hampshire, and there is a link to our area.

Authorities believe it was a targeted crime, in which two men rushed a woman at her front door, overtook her, put her in zip ties and brought her down to the basement.

There, she was tied a support post, and a blanket was put over her head.

The surveillance video shows the two men arriving, one in a mask the other bare faced.

The time stamp on the video shows they waited for nearly an hour and a half for her to come home. Then, when she let her dog out, they attacked.

"It's discouraging that people are out there," New Hampshire State Police Sergeant Shawn Skahan said. "And they target a 63-year-old woman."

Police say she had coins and precious metals in a safe, and after she was tied up, the suspects demanded the combination.

The video shows them leaving with three large bags.

The woman wasn't freed until contractors showed up the next morning to do work at her home. She was tied up for nine hours, and medical personnel said that had it gone a couple hours longer, her medical condition could have turned into a life threatening-situation.

Thanks to some new software from Keene police, authorities were able to track down some of the stolen items at a Manhattan pawn shop. Now, they are hopeful it will lead them to those responsible.
