Package thefts caught on camera in Brooklyn and Long Island

NEW YORK (WABC) -- More incidents of people stealing packages from outside homes have been caught on camera.

In one video from downtown Brooklyn, you see the suspect scoop up a handful of packages on State Street earlier this week.

New video from Suffolk County shows a man who grabbed a package off a porch in Patchogue.

The package contained $100 of merchandise from Best Buy.

Police say the suspect swiped it Wednesday just five minutes after it was delivered.

Officers urging everyone to try not to leave packages on porches for long, especially during the holiday season
