NEW YORK -- Hundreds of people are tracing the steps of 9/11 first responder Stephen Siller in the annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk.

The event goes through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to Ground Zero.

This year's walk also honors the three Americans who stopped an attack on a train in Paris, Spencer Stone, Anthony Sadler and Alek Skarlatos, with the Stephen Siller Legacy Award.

Siller, an off-duty firefighter, ran through the blocked off tunnel to the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001, where he was killed.
