Pedestrian with shopping cart fatally struck by truck in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WABC) -- A woman pushing a shopping cart was struck and killed by a box truck in Brooklyn.

Authorities say 37-year-old Latiesha Ramsey was hit was crossing at the intersection of Lafayette and Patchen avenues just after 10:20 a.m.

She was struck by a box truck that came to a full stop before proceeding into the intersection.

She was rushed to Woodhull Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The 49-year-old truck driver was not expected to be charged.
