Sketch released of suspect who robbed, sexually assaulted woman in Brooklyn

BUSHWICH -- The NYPD has released a sketch of the suspect who sexually assaulted and robbed a woman in Brooklyn.

Investigators say he followed a 22-year old woman into her apartment building on Evergreen Avenue in Bushwick about midnight on Oct. 15.

He was armed with a kitchen knife as he approached the victim from behind, then forced her to the fourth floor landing where he removed her pocketbook and forced her to commit a criminal sex act on him, police say.

The suspect then fled the building. The victim was taken to a local hospital where she was treated and released.

The suspect is described as being in his mid to late twenties, 5'11" to 6'2" tall weighing 180-190 pounds.
