CASTLETON CORNERS, Staten Island -- A Staten Island woman has been arrested in the fatal stabbing of the father of two of her three children.

Police responding to a 911 call at 12:45 a.m. Saturday found the victim stabbed in the chest inside an apartment in the Todt Hill Houses.

The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at a local hospital. His name was not immediately released.

Christina Quinones was arrested later Saturday on charges of murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say Quinones and the victim had two children together, ages 10 and 4. The 31-year-old Quinones also has a 14-year-old.

The children were in the apartment during the stabbing.

It wasn't immediately clear whether Quinones had a lawyer who could speak on her behalf.
